Chocolate Banana Protein Shake
I am always on the look for a yummy high protein mix. I came across this organic protein mix at Costco and I am pretty impressed with it. It made a really yummy shake! I tend to not eat a lot of meat so I need to find other ways to make sure I get enough protein. This shake is a great way to get the added protein that my body needs. It is delicious and is packed with 29 grams of protein.
Protein shakes are great to incorporate into your diet no matter what your fitness goals are. It can be a post workout meal, a meal replacement or a mid day snack. Be sure you get enough protein.
Do you know how much protein you should eat daily? There is a general way to find out. It is by a simple equation.
If you are a regular exerciser/ athlete then use this equation.
(your body weight in pounds) * (.8) = grams of protein to eat daily
If you are not very active or sedentary use this equation
(your body weight in pounds) * (.36)= grams of protein to eat daily
For example, if I weigh 120 pounds and I’m a regular exerciser this is how I would figure it,
(120) * (.8) = 96 grams of protein
if I was not very active or sedentary, this is how I would figure it
(120) * (.36) = 43.2 grams of protein

Chocolate Banana Protein Shake
Makes 1 Shake
– 1 cup of milk (any kind, almond milk, soy, cows milk)
– 1 frozen banana (if not frozen just throw a few ice cubes in)
– 2 scoops of protein mix
Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth.
Total protein for this shake = 29 grams Protein
