Day 27! 3 Day count down!! That finish line is so close! We are almost there!! The holidays are approaching us. Along with this joyous time of year also can come a lot of stress! I have already been feeling it, have you??
If you already are or if you start feeling stressed during this holiday season, I challenge you to take time to “stop”. Stop and give yourself a chance to breathe. Try and not thing about anything.. not about family Christmas parties or what to buy the kids or husband or mother- in law or just making sure you give your kids and family a perfect holiday experience (that can be so easy to get wrapped up.. isn’t it).. just stop thinking and feel your body breathe in and out. Sit up in Indian style (my preschooler calls it crisscross legs) or up in a chair or lay flat on your back and just breathe slow calm breaths. Your eyes can be open or closed, whatever makes you comfortable. This is perfect to do anytime of day, first thing in the morning in a quiet house when kids are still sleeping, in the middle of the day if you feel like you reached your limit or in the evening (again when kids go to bed lol). This is a great exercise before bed.
Just stop and breathe.
